Train Your Yoga is about finding balance—between discipline and ease, structure and intuition. Rooted in the philosophy of Hatha yoga and the precision of Iyengar, we focus on functional movement to build strength, mobility, and awareness that will translate off the mat and into your daily life. It’s not about perfection; it’s about training with intention while honouring what feels right for you. It’s your yoga!

Foundational Hatha yoga designed for everyday people to feel better in their bodies. This progressive style creates a structure that allows any person to start where they are now, making real improvements on and off the mat.

 

I want you to leave feeling better than when you came in the door. And I want you to feel better for years to come. This means I apply a methodical perspective to yoga, using the basics to bring awareness to habitual body patterns. This step-by-step approach to yoga helps to develop strength and mobility in the areas of your body that are asking for attention, simultaneously shifting your perspective on and off the mat. Train Your Yoga prioritizes safe alignment before progressing to the next stage of the posture. Yoga should feel good!

Origin Story

Wynoah was born and raised in Yukon, living in communities including Marsh Lake and Mount Lorne. After heading to Kelowna, BC for University in 2011, she took time to travel Central and South America where her interest in yoga became undeniable. During Envision Yoga festival in Uvita, Costa Rica, Wynoah noticed a difference between the aimless clusters of people, and the intentional and vibrant groups of yogis. At that point she knew she wanted to be a yogi. With fire in her belly, Wynoah moved to Victoria, BC where she began studying the Eight Limbs of Yoga through Michelle Rubin of Victoria Yoga School. For the past 5 years she has been learning and teaching yoga with consistency and devotion.

 

In December 2021, Wynoah moved home to Whitehorse, Yukon with her mini Aussiedoodle Nahla Rey. Here she continue to practice, learn, and teach yoga, through which she gets incredible joy sharing all the techniques that have assisted in her own healing process. Yoga has uncovered a vital potential and a new way of seeing the world. It facilitates continual growth by providing a lens through which we can all see ourselves more clearly, and work to change our detrimental habitual behaviours. Wynoah teaches from a place of experience, sharing what has worked for her so far. In this way, she can fully stand behind what she teaches. She is committed to continual learning and to integrating these teachings into her lived experience.​​​
